VIRTUES POST MI

Through VIRTUES POST-MI, virtual post-MI care will be established for patients in five health regions. After consent, patients will receive cardiac rehabilitation and goal setting with personalized education.

  • With VIRTUES POST-MI, an appropriate drug treatment program along with cholesterol levels will be tracked.
  • At 3 to 6 months, patients will be reminded to contact her/his physician for LV function determination. If LV function is poor despite optimal medical therapy, the patient should be considered for an ICD.

  • To date, we have engaged clinical experts across the country to design management modules and adapt intervention guidelines for:

    • Blood Pressure
    • Diabetic and Lipid Management
  • A patient working group has been established consisting of a patient study co-lead and 7 additional patients to help in the design and development of the VIRTUES-POST-MI care sets and related educational materials.
