We aim to characterize trends in the management and clinical outcomes of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCAs) secondary to ischemic heart disease using a prospective, contemporary cardiac arrest registry linked with multiple administrative databases. As the only researchers in the world with access to all these data — on OHCA, cardiac catheterization and coronary angiography, in-hospital and long-term outcomes, and detailed vital status and cause-of-death — we are uniquely positioned to perform this comprehensive analysis. The cardiac arrest registry we will access contains a dataset of consecutively enrolled patients from a population of over 6 million people.
