Lessons Learned – Managing Clinical Trials
With the increase in the demand for evidence-based medicine there has been a similar increase in clinical trials and studies. While some clinical trials are small and limited to a single center, others are larger, multicenter studies. These each have unique challenges. Between getting a grant and closing out a clinical trial there are many unforeseen problems that may arise. This talk will outline strategies to deal with some of the common issues that occur while running both single and multi-center clinical trials. Budget and contract negotiation, recruitment strategies, data cleaning, and preparing for audits will be discussed.
